Wow, this remote is a game changer! It was easy to connect to my IPad and the settings are so easy to follow. I really love the way it fits in my hand. I was so tried of clicking my mouse pad as I was studying and my wrists would end up hurting. If you are in nursing school or like me studying for the CCRN, it really helps with those long study sessions.
The remote is, in fact, incredibly valuable for sifting through cards. As someone who has spent 1000+ hours on Anki, I can vouch that a remote makes the daily grind easier. Specifically, it gamifies the studying process, making it just a little bit more bearable.
The remote becomes especially valuable during the review portion. These are cards that are already, in part, consolidated and should be easier. Thus, an aid such as paper or a whiteboard typically isn’t needed. The remote allows you to sit anywhere and do the cards from any location, which is a crucial benefit, since the alternative is being hunched over a laptop.
Though the remote doesn’t mitigate all the issues with the study process, it certainly helps to some extent. For example, with new cards, you may still need to jot facts down, especially for semantic-heavy content. That said, I think it’s a worthwhile investment for both your sanity and your academic future, especially if you plan on using Anki long-term.
This is a great little invention. Transformative to studying, allows you to be comfortable wherever and not locked into a chair in front of a screen.Brians work better, shoulders are relaxed, body is happy and people be learning!
I purchased the Anki Remote for my daughter while she’s in medical school, and it has been an incredibly helpful tool for her studying. The Study Remote has been the absolute best thing ever. It has not only made Anki more efficient but it has genuinely made studying so much enjoyable and easier. I am so excited to continue using this as an incoming medical student and would recommend it to anyone who has ANY sort of studying to do but especially students studying for the MCAT or in graduate medical programs. Truly can never go back to life before this!
This remote definitely does what it says. My rating is more like 4.5-- I use it for quizlet not anki, and you cannot use it on the Ipad app unless you go to a browser ... which is slightly annoying. Otherwise, it is sturdy and held up over time since i got it 6 mo ago!
The study remote has made a huge difference in my studying throughout medical school. I love having the option to stand up and move around while doing my Anki since I can use the remote to click through my cards. In particular, I Iike working out and the study remote has allowed me to do some of my review cards while walking on the treadmill. The setup is easy and seamless! I can't recommend this product more!

I really enjoy using this remote to study for the MCAT. When it's hundreds of cards, being able to sit back and click through with ease makes it much more enjoyable and easier to focus on the material.

The remote has made studying significantly easier. It is much more intuitive than any other remote I've used. If you are a medical student using anki without one of these you are really doing yourself a disservice.

Got it for my girlfriend for Christmas who is an incoming D1. She LOVED it! The way it looks, the pink color, and how convenient it is to use. Customer service was great as well. Jessica/Zen were a huge help with quick responses and helpful attitude. The cheaper options on Amazon work fine, but ANKI Remote promises you great quality and customer service so take your pick.
I am very happy with this remote. I was a bit skeptical at first with how useful it’d be, but after using it for a few weeks now I’m really enjoying it. I typically like to multi task while doing Anki cards (running on the treadmill or using a stationary bike) so it’s important for me to be hands free with my actual device. This small but mighty clicker allows me to do just that!
Can't study without it! This is actually my 4th Anki Remote. I have 3 that I constantly use (one at home - so I don't have to take my remote out of my backpack and forget them, two in my backpack just in case I run out of battery on one of them). Recently gifted this 4th one to my spouse for Xmas! He LOVES it, too!
